1. Acceptance of these terms

Welcome to stopwatch-online.com (the "Service", "Site", or "we"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at https://stopwatch-online.com, including the stopwatch, timer, alarm clock, pomodoro timer, world clock, age calculator, holidays, and any other tool we publish on the same domain.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. About the Service

stopwatch-online.com is a free, browser-based collection of time-related utilities. Each tool runs in your browser using standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). You do not need an account to use any of the tools, and we do not charge for access.

Because the Service is free of charge, we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool, page, or feature at any time and without prior notice. We will try to give reasonable advance notice for major changes, but we cannot guarantee it.

3. License to use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may use the tools as often as you like, on as many devices as you own.

This licence does not give you any ownership of the Site or its underlying source code, branding, or content.

We reserve the right to block any IP address, user-agent, or other source of traffic that we reasonably believe is engaged in any of the above.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site - including the visual design, text, layout, branding, source code, illustrations, icons, and logos - is owned by or licensed to stopwatch-online.com and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may share links to public pages on the Site freely. You may take screenshots for personal use, reviews, or news commentary. Third-party trademarks (such as "Pomodoro Technique", which is a registered trademark of Francesco Cirillo) belong to their respective owners and are referenced only for descriptive purposes.

6. Accuracy and "as-is" service

We work hard to keep our tools accurate and reliable. The stopwatch and timer use the browser's performance.now() high-resolution clock, which is sub-millisecond accurate on modern devices. The Holidays data, World Clock zones, and similar reference data are maintained on a best-effort basis from public sources.

However, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
• Warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any data shown - including holiday dates, time-zone offsets, and the maximum precision of the timer.

You should not rely on the Site for any purpose where an inaccurate result could cause harm - for example, official sports timing, medical timing, legal deadlines, aviation, scientific instrumentation, or any other safety-critical use. For those use cases, please use a certified hardware device or a service that explicitly guarantees accuracy.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall stopwatch-online.com, its operators, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill - whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise - arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5 - 8 and 13) will continue to apply after access ends.

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the Service, will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of stopwatch-online.com is based, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you stronger protections, those mandatory laws will continue to apply.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely matches the original intent.
